Hello, we are the Japan team of the Sayul Korean club.
We have developed a Korea-Japan COP strategy for the environment. We will realize a "public diplomacy strategy through metaverse."
[Metaverse Space "Environmental Policy Supplement" Meeting]
It is an activity where college students in Korea and Japan, who are difficult to meet face-to-face, share each other's culture by using the metaverse space. Students from both countries discuss what each other thinks about it and what environmental policy problems are as they learn about environmental policies in many countries, not just in Korea and Japan.
I think we will have this expected effect through this activity.
First, college students from both countries will accept each other's problems and worry about them. We will present solutions to each other's concerns and adopt various ideas of college students through a contest. We can lead to understanding and problem solving of each other.
Second, college students can develop environmental sensitivity. While talking about environmental problems in Asia, we will think about what the environment means to us and practice it to improve the environment.
[Culture-sharing content for Korean and Japanese students in Metaverse]
1. Making a Buchae
The Buchae is a traditional Korean fan. In 2020, Japan emitted 1.15 billion tons of greenhouse gases. To encourage Japan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which is about 92 times that of Tokyo Dome, we plan a traditional Korean fan-making experience. While promoting Korean culture, we encourage the use of clean energy.
2. Solving the food in the refrigerator
Japan produces 5.22 million tons of food waste annually. I will make Korean food using common ingredients in the refrigerator. They will learn Korean food and reduce the amount of food waste.
3. Making resin shakers
Marine waste is a problem all over the world. Of these, 20,000 to 60,000 tons are estimated to have originated in Japan. Marine waste will make resin shakers through waves and with reborn sea glass. We will strive to give new value to waste resources and spread the upcycle culture.
4. Korea-Japan Future Environment Career Finding Meeting
Both Japan and Korea are actively engaged in eco-friendly projects. Through the metaverse, college students from both countries will find out promising jobs in the future and help them find their own careers by talking to each other about what preparations are needed for them.
