Hello everyone, we are Anam Team2, Bridge!

This month, we're going to tell you about [Korean Street Foods in Winter].

If you know Korea well, you may have heard that Koreans are sincere about eating.

The street foods in winter are really colorful, but we chose only six of the most popular foods.

1. Bungeo ppang (Fish shaped bun)

This is one of representative Korean street foods in winter.

Unlike its name, it doesn't contain carp but only look like carp fish.

It basically has sweet red bean or cream puffs inside, and some even sell it with pizza, sweet potato or chocolate filling.

2. Eomuk (Fish cake)

You cans make your frozen body melt by drinking a cup of warm fish cake soup in cold weather.

As there are various types of fish cakes such as twisted, long skewered, or spicy flavor, you can choose whatever you want.

3. Ho ppang (Korean steamed bun)

You can easily find these buns at convenience store and supermarkets when weather gets cold.

There are many flavors such as red beans(this is the basic), veggies, pizza, etc., so you can eat whatever you want according to your taste.

TIP) You can eat this even more deliciously with some white milk!

4. Hotteok (Sweet Korean pancake)

It's a very chewy snack, with sugar and nuts inside a rice cake made with flour or sticky rice and then flat-baked.

Besides the original version, there are various fusion hotteoks such as pizza hotteok with cheese and tomato sauce and kimchi hotteok with stir-friend kimchi.

5. Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Roasted sweet potatoes are stickier and sweeter than other sweet potatoes that are boiled or steamed.

If you go camping in the winter season, it is recommended to try eating campfire-roasted sweet potatoes wrapped in silver foil.

TIP) Some people eat kimchi or dongchimi with sweet potatoes because the salty taste of these foods stands out the sweetness of sweet potatoes.

6. Gyeran ppang (Egg bread)

It's a soft, oval-shaped bread baked with whole eggs.

Many people love this food because they feel the combination of  sweet bread and salty egg attractive.

Since it tastes good even when it cools down and doesn't get soggy, many people like to eat it especially in winter.

For a warm winter this year, why don't you buy some delicious street food and share it with the person right next to you?
