1. Topic: Delivery Culture in South Korea

2. Writers: Beatriz Cortez and Brendan Moore

3. Short Explanation: When we previously traveled to Korea, we were amazed by how advanced their delivery services were! So we decided to create a new page dedicated to the delivery culture in Korea. We included the history, and also how these services improved over the years, up until the present where phone applications and other delivery services are well known not only to locals but also to foreigners who travel or live in Korea.

2. Writer: Celine Reyes

3. Short Explanation: I added additional information to an existing Wikipedia page about traditional Korean games. Under the sub-section ‘OTHER TRADITIONAL KOREAN GAMES’. I added: Bossaum(보싸움), Garakji Chatginori(가락지찾기놀이), & Gamnae Gejuldangigi(감내게줄당기기). With each game, I explained the general objective of the game, the origin story, and how the game is played.

1. Topic: Korean Traditional Handicrafts

2. Writer: Celine Reyes

3. Short Explanation: I wrote an article on Korean Traditional Handicrafts because I love fine art and crafts! In my article, I selected 3 major types of handicrafts used in Ancient Korea: Decorative storage, Hanji(한지), & Bojagi(보자기). Decorative storage involves using woodwork, dyes, ox horns, and other various items to create cabinets and other forms of storage. Hanji is a Korean traditional paper that is smooth but very strong. It is used for crafts but also for preserving items such as ginseng. Lastly, bojagi is a Korean wrapping cloth used practically and also as a form of art that has gained international attention to the worldwide art community. Hope you enjoy my article!

1. Topic: History of Korean Movie Theatres

2. Writer: Celine Reyes

3. Short Explanation: Hello! I am very interested in film and Korean culture, so I chose this topic. Korean moviegoing started as early as 1907 when Danseongsa(단성사), the first movie theatre in the country opened. As time progressed, we saw how much movie theatres changed as the country went through many political and social changes. Now, going to movie theatres in Korea is considered one of the most popular leisure activities due to improvements in comfort, technology, and the entertainment industry.

1. Topic: Korean Sign Language

2. Writer: Beatriz Cortez

3. Short Explanation: I have always been interested in how people with disabilities live around the world. In terms of legislation and aids provided by their governments. Since there is already an existing page on this topic I wanted to further expand the information provided on the topic. I have provided more information regarding the passing of Korean Sign Language as one of Korea's official languages to the Korean National Assembly. It is a small excerpt from a bill that has been in place for 5 years. (My contribution is under the official status and is the first paragraph)
